Philanthropy

Alpha Pi Phi recognizes the importance of giving back to the community and making a difference in the lives of others. We take pride in our passion for donating and dedicating our time to various charities and events throughout the year.

As philanthropy is a significant part of the membership experience, the sisters of Alpha Pi Phi are committed to encouraging the growth of philanthropic leadership and do this by completing group and individual philanthropic activities every semester! We encourage our members to engage with causes they are passionate about and provide opportunities to support philanthropies in the community.

The official philanthropy of Alpha Pi Phi is the Alzheimers Society of Canada. We will be holding fundraisers and participating in a variety of events in order to raise money and awareness for the cause. Our goal is to do as much as we can as individuals for those who suffer from Alzheimers Disease, and whose loved ones have suffered or are currently enduring it.

A Message from Our Philanthropy Chair

Philanthropy is something that is extremely important as one of the four pillars of Alpha Pi Phi. We are proud to be partnered with the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, which is the leading Canadian non-for-profit when it comes to helping people with Alzheimers. Through this, we have been able to participate in events such as the Boston Walk to End Alzheimers. Other philanthropic events we have participated in the past included Relay for Life, Hope for Creativity, and Make-A-Wish. We hold the value of philanthropy high through mandatory philanthropy hours for sisters each semester. In the coming academic year we hope to strengthen our philanthropic outreach and continue to give back to our community!

Phi Love,
